About the Artist

Alexander Emilov Tasev - Glass Artist

Alexander Emilov Tasev (born in Sofia, 1989) is a glass artist from a family of artists — his mother, Iskra Taseva, was a painter, and his aunt, Vesela Taseva, is an art restorer. He has been involved in art from a young age, developing a passion for creating glass sculptures inspired by light, its refraction, and the play of colors.

He studied at the New Bulgarian University (NBU) and developed his craft further through glass projects in the Czech Republic. His work has been influenced by prominent glass artists such as Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, under the mentorship of Prof. Konstantin Valchev.
